Offered for sale;

Used DigiTech Whammy II effects pedal. This pedal is in very good condition, fully functional, cosmetically nice.

The first version was introduced in 1989. The Whammy was the first widely known effects pedal that could do foot controlled pitch shifting effects. The pedal emulates sounds that a guitarist normally makes using the vibrato ("whammy") bar on the guitar, but with a greatly enhanced pitch range.

DigiTech described the pedal as allowing the performer to:

Perform smooth pitch bending. 5-Whammy settings let you smoothly bend notes one tone down, one octave up or down, or two octaves up or down.

Create two part harmonies from a single note. Six settings provide single-note chromatic harmony along with the input note.

Apply thick detuning sound controlled by the pedal position.

Noted users:

 Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, David Gilmore, The Edge, Tom Morello, Dimebag Darrell and the list goes on.

Many feel that the Whammy II is the desirable version to own since its tone is much the same as the first design but with a toggle foot switch instead of a rotary knob, which makes changing settings while playing much easier.

Own a very distinct piece of shredding gear at a good price!

*Please note: we do our best giving descriptions of used pieces. We have found it impossible to describe every mark on an instrument or amp that is not in the "mint" category. Also, what's important to you may not be important to someone else. For example, you may say, "I don't care what it looks like as long as it plays or sounds well." Another person may say, "Body cosmetics are very important to me so tell me about every scratch, nick and blemish." So, please ask the questions that are most important to you. If you ask they will be answered. They are free and there's no limit. Additional photos can also be made available.

This is a specific item that is also being offered for sale in our brick & mortar location. It is possible that it has just been sold. Please ask if it is still available before purchasing.

*It is our policy to require a signature on delivery of all musical instruments. Please let us know if you prefer no signature required when ordering or we will automatically require a signature.
