Echopark Downtowner Deluxe Aged Surf Green

This brand new Echopark Downtowner Deluxe guitar just arrived to our shop straight from Detroit and has been expertly built using the finest of materials, an artistic eye and exceptional craftsmanship. We met with Gabriel Currie at our shop and discussed specs, past experiences, the future of the electric guitar and, of course, music. We shook hands, placed a few orders and now we are proud to offer Custom and DT Series Echopark instruments to our customers.

This guitar features old stock Kahya slab body, one '59 Special humbucking pickup in the bridge position, one P-90 pickup in the neck position, one volume control and one tone control with gold bonnet knobs, three position pickup selector switch, single ply tortoiseshell grain pickguard, wraparound bridge/tailpiece, old stock Kahya neck with '59 medium C profile, Caribbean rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays and Jescar 9055 frets, bovine bone nut, vintage spec no-line nickel plated tuning machines with tulip buttons, black peghead face with Echopark logo, black truss rod cover with E engraving, Aged Surf Green lacquer finish, Certificate of Authenticity, and custom green TKL hard shell case. This guitar weighs 7lb 4oz.

This Downtowner Deluxe is ridiculously cool. The neck profile is that of a late 1959 carve and feels exceptional in the hand. This is one of the nicest feeling necks on any new guitar that has passed through our shop in quite some time. This Downtowner plays effortlessly up and down the fingerboard. The ‘57 PAF style humbucking bridge pickup is articulate, woody and responsive. This pickup excels with an overdriven amp and delivers amazing clarity and rich harmonics even through the most saturated signal. The ‘58 P-90 neck pickup has plenty of output and really balances well with the humbucker. This pickup is outstanding for fat clean tones and really puts out some nasty sounding overdriven lead tones. Having the option for humbucking and P-90 tones with one guitar is stellar, in my opinion. The Surf Green aged lacquer finish is as cool as it gets, especially paired with the Supro style Kluson tuners and the hand cut tortoiseshell grain pickguard.
