The Empress Effects Nebulus Modulation Pedal is a killer chorus, flanger, and vibrato pedal all wrapped up in one compact box, plus it has three variations for each effect, making it more like nine pedals in one - all of which are totally tweakable. And it comes with an easy access preset system that can store up to eight different variations. The Chorus mode is lush and warm, with fluid and dream-like chorus, as well as a more tremolo-heavy style - anything from Nirvana's "Come As You Are" to the Police's "Message in a Bottle." You can also turn all the settings down to get a straightforward tremolo sound. The Vibrato mode includes a standard vibrato effect that's very '60s, all the way to your Pink Floyd-ian rotating speaker effect. Flanger can be set to the classic '60s tape flange (think "The Rooster" from Alice In Chains for a more modern example), a '70s-era negative feedback type, or the coveted thru-zero flange. Additionally, each mode has a special Little/None/Lots switch so you can further tweak how much each effect manifests in your tone. The four knobs - Mix, Rate, Depth, and Output - allow you to create an almost endless amount of sounds and effects through a relatively simple and compact pedal. The Empress Effects Nebulus Modulation Pedal is a real space saver for pedal enthusiasts, is true bypass, works great with pedals before or after it, and lets you save up to eight of your own settings. What more could you ask for? Chorus - A lush and warm sounding chorus, a fluid and dreamy multi-chorus, and a unique tremolo'ed chorus Flanger - A classic tape flange, a 70's negative feedback type flanger, and the elusive thru-zero flange Vibrato - A standard vibrato, a classic vibe sound, and a rotating speaker effect. 8 Presets - Up to 8 custom presets, easily accessed with the touch of a button. Advanced Configuration - Lets you customize the functionality of the Nebulus to suit your needs. Special Switch - Allows you to tweak settings important to the mode you're using, making the Nebulus even more customizable Tone - Choose between warm, clean and bright voicing for each effect. Soft Touch Switches - Soft touch switches control a relay bypass making transitions as smooth as possible. True Bypass - The Empress Nebulus employs true bypass, so you can be sure that it's not affecting the signal when disengaged. Small Size - The enclosure measures approximately 4.5" by 3.5" by 1.5", which is delightfully small when considering all the features packed into this unit.
