1940 Epiphone Blackstone Sunburst
Here's a 1940 Epiphone Blackstone in Sunburst finish. Early New York built archtop! Solid spruce top, figured maple back & sides, rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays, bound body & bound neck. The body measure 16 3/8" at the lower bout, with a 25.5" scale, and 1 11/16" nut width. The guitar plays great, with low action. The neck has a very subtle/soft V profile that's really comfortable. Tonally it's loud, clear, and really cuts. Packs a serious punch! There's one top repaired crack above & below the bass side f-hole, and a small binding repair by the heel. Incredibly well made instrument! HSC included!
