Description

1959 is considered by most collectors and player alike to be the pinnacle of Gibson's "Golden Era". Of course, Epiphones from that year were built in the Gibson factory in Kalamazoo. Gibson only made one full depth archtop with the Epiphany name on it and that was the Broadway. Early ones-like this one-have that great Epiphone made vee neck and New York pickups. This is a beautiful guitar in extraordinary condition. There is some wear to the original frets but it doesn't need a re-fret. The only part that isn't original are the tuners. It now has a set of correct 59 tuners on it but the tips have been replaced. Photo shows repros. Playability is great and the tone is wonderful plugged in or unplugged. Case is tweed with a blue interior.
