Description

Incredible Pre-Gibson Epiphone acoustic! 1949 Epiphone FT-79 arch back acoustic! This model would eventually become the ever popular Texan, but they are totally different guitars! Spruce top, walnut back/sides and an arched back! 25 and 1/2 inch scale length, hefty 3 piece neck with a soft “V” profile and more of a “Jumbo” shaped body. This particular model is ladder-braced, but it is the loudest and best sounding ladder-braced we’ve ever played! Overall in very good condition for its age. Lots of play wear, finish checking, dings, dents and finish chips. Recent pro neck re-set, re-fret, Stew-Mac Golden Age Tuners installed, one repaired top crack, new bone nut, strap button installed, bridge reglued and a rosewood saddle. Fully setup and plays great. Comes with a modern hard shell case.
