Summary: The Jack Casady Signature Bass was designed by Jack Casady in collaboration with Epiphone and is the culmination of years of experimentation by the Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna bassist to find an instrument with superb, balanced electric tone and the response of an acoustic bass. This particular bass has a pristine metallic goldtop finish and ships in its original case.

Body: The semi-hollow body is maple with a beautiful metallic gold top & ebony finished sides and back. The top & back of this bass is fully bound with beautiful cream binding.

Neck: It has a mahogany set neck, finished in black with a 34” scale length, 12” fretboard radius, 20 frets on a black bound rosewood fretboard with pearloid trapezoidal inlays. Nut width- 1.6535”

Pickups/Hardware: This bass has a JCB-1 low impedance humbucker with master volume, master tone and a 3 position tone switch. It has classic style open back 19:1 gear ratio nickel tuners and a 3 point adjustable nickel bridge.

Cosmetics: This bass is in excellent condition with just a bit of buckle rash and some light scratches on the pickguard.

Playability: This is a fantastic playing bass. The action has been setup low and there is a fresh set of strings on it. The frets are in great shape with no gouges in them.

Weight: 8 lbs, 6 oz.

Case: This wonderful bass ships in its original hardshell case.
