Take a look at this cool and clean 1960 Epiphone Olympic in its original Sunburst finish! When Gibson purchased Epiphone in 1957, they set about introducing several different models of solid-bodied electric guitars, which Epiphone had never done before. These models became the Wilshire, Crestwood, Coronet, and finally the “student” option; the Olympic. The Olympic is quite comparable to the Gibson Melody Maker, both with mahogany bodies and necks, same initial Les Paul body shape, and one single coil pickup. This one has a full neck profile that fills the palm nicely, and the one single coil pickup can get surprisingly strong for a punchy, dynamic tone. To top it all off, it still has its original chipboard case, and also the original hang tags!
