A vintage player from top to bottom. This 1964 Epiphone Olympic Special has seen some miles.
The treble side of the head stock has a break/crack repair, that was professionally done. Has Kluson Deluxe tuning keys installed, and has had a couple different sets of keys on it in the past. As you can see by the chips of wood missing from the face of the headstock. The nut was either replaced, or, removed and shimmed. The pickguard is non-original and is a home-made guard. The pickup was replaced with a DiMarzio DP414 Virtual Vintage Solo Pro.
The body is heavily riddled with finish checking, and has its fair share of bonks, dents, bumps, and playing wear.
It has never been refretted, and the frets have very little wear.
The action is nice and low, and the neck is a very comfortable medium C profile.
Has a 1 5/8" nut width, a 24 3/4" scale length, and weighs mere 5 pounds 13 ounces.
