Here is a cool old school Epiphone Regent EA-16RVT 35 watt tube combo amp. It was build sometime between 1965 and 1967 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The Epiphone Regent was Epiphones version of a Fender Deluxe Reverb that has its own distinct tone. It has a single 12" original speaker with the code 137-539 indicating it was made the Chicago Telephone Supply the 39th week of 1965. The serial number, A070003, is engraved on the back panel. The front mounted control panel has the following controls left to right: 2 channels, loudness knob, treble, bass, 2 channels, loudness, treble, bass, reverb, depth, frequency, and a power knob. The two channels are not switchable and there are two inputs on each channel. There are five power tubes: RCA 6EU7, RCA 12AU7A, 6U7, 12AT7, and 12AU7A. The two Westinghouse power tubes are 7591s and the Rectifier rube is an OA2 with no branding. The amp is well built and weighs 42.4 pounds. The dimensions are 25 1/2" wide, 20" tall with handle, and a mere 8 1/2" deep. Everything appears to be original except a couple tubes, the main filter caps, the rebuilt wire in the footswitch, and possibly the power cord. Other features include a gray vinyl covering with matching handle, tan grill cloth with silver thread, Epiphone logo and model in red lettering on the front panel, four metal corners, four rubber feet, the original footswitch, and a chrome footswitch holder inside the amp. The grill cloth has very slight staining and the amp cabinet has a couple minor scuffs on the front edge. The 4" wide upper rear panel is missing. This amp has tone controls that offer a wide range of tone. The amp has been checked out by our tech and everything is working fine. It has good bass tones, a great reverb, and a distinct buttery tremolo. The tone is unique, clean, focused, and instantly recognizable as a 60s amp. There is no hum or noise. It comes with its original footswitch and vinyl cover.
