Most of you know that 1959-1968 Epiphones were made in Kalamazoo on the same production line as the ES series. The only major differences between the Epiphones and the 335's, 345's and 355's are the pickups ad the tailpiece. This is a very early 65 Sheraton so it still has all the 64 features including that excellent 64 neck profile that everybody wants on their 335. This one is .84" at the first fret and .98" at the 12th. The nut width is 1 11/16". This guitar is just about mint. No checking but a few very minor dings keep it from mint status. The gold hardware is near perfect and the frets are 100% and original. I would be surprised if this guitar has 100 hours of play time. The "Trem-o-Tone" tailpiece is not a great engineering feat but if you leave it alone, the guitar stays in tune just fine. What many folks don't know is that the Sheraton is a huge bargain. If this guitar said Gibson on the headstock it would be 4 times the price. Gibson wasn't even making blondes by 65. A Sheraton is, essentially, an ES-355 with mini hum buckers. Original "civil war" (gray with blue) case.
