For your consideration a 2017 Ernie Ball Music Man BFR III in a Limited “Tumescent” finish. The Ball Family Reserve (BFR) is Ernie Balls way of honoring their own craftsman ship and producing limited runs with the highest quality woods and finish! This is #59 of only 300 made! In 1971 Forrest White and Tom Walker formed Tri-Sonix, INC. Forrest White had been working with Leo Fender since 1954, at first as a plant manager, eventually becoming the Vice President of Fender. Leo was a silent partner in the formative years because he was still under his ten year non-compete contract from selling Fender to CBS. After briefly being called Musitek, INC, they settled on the name Music Man. The board of the company voted Leo Fender President of Music Man in 1975! Ernie Ball would acquire the company in 1984. As they started to produce more new models/signature models (one being the Steve Lukather) they became more widely recognized!
