Based on the 12-fret Roy Smeck platform, the Fairbanks Super Smeck recreates a rare custom order from 1935 originally crafted in Kalamazoo. Drawing from the iconic Super 400 Archtop design of its era, this guitar elevates the standard Roy Smeck model with distinctive features: a full neck and body sunburst finish, curly maple back and sides, and a three-piece curly maple neck with an oversized Super 400 style headstock.
Further enhancements include 7-ply binding on the top and sides, an upgraded soundhole rosette with additional binding, a unique split-rectangle fingerboard inlay, and a matching headstock inlay. Completing its opulent appearance is a fully bound 'tiger’s eye' celluloid pickguard. The Fairbanks Super Smeck exudes decadence, boldness, and timeless elegance.
