Description

Offered is this very cool Fano SP6 built and signed by Dennis Fano himself before production of Fano guitars was transferred to the Premier Builder's Guild. This is an awesome, handmade instrument with specs which include: a Swamp Ash body with top binding, a belly contour, Roundup Orange nitrocellulose finish and heavy aging; a bolt-on Maple neck with a chunky '58 C-shape neck with depth measurements of .92" at the 1st fret and .95" at the 12th; a bound Rosewood fingerboard with 24.75" scale length, 10"-16" compound radius, medium frets and a 1.687" nut; Gotoh vintage style tuners; a Tele bridge with brass compensated saddles; and for electronics, master volume, master tone, a 3-way switch, a Fralin P-90 in the neck position and a Fralin Tele single coil in the bridge. This guitar is perfectly a balanced and has a total weight of 7.6 pounds.

This is one of those guitars that immediately feels familiar in your hands. The combination of the contoured LP style body, the chunky neck shape, short string scale and the Tele controls just feels great in your hands and it plays super-easy. This guitar can do both Tele and LP tones with ease. The clean tones can be heard in the provided Soundcloud sample, but this guitar sounds even better when cranked!

This guitar was heavily aged by Dennis Fano, so it is hard to tell the play wear from the distressing. The frets are in excellent condition. It comes in it's original TKL LP-style case.

This is an amazing instrument, with a build quality that you will not find on a current, PGB-built Fano instrument. This is a lot of hand-built guitar for the cash. Make it yours!
