After tweaking the Precision bass to great fanfare Leo immediately went to work on his next big creation. The result was an altogether different beast, but one that has yet another signature sound that we can't imagine music without. Our record collection would surely sound a lot different without the Jazz Bass!
This vintage beauty has survived the years wonderfully. There are the small nicks and scratches that you'd expect to see, along with some weather checking. The one area to note that may not come across in the photos is some scratches on the back of the neck near the body joint. The neck is straight and the frets have good height to them. All that's missing is the finger-rest (the bridge and pickup covers are in the case). The case is a little worse for wear with some duct tape on the edges but the hinges and latches work. It's average in weight at 8.8 lbs.
As a '66 it's an early "blocked" neck and has the signature "lollipop" tuning machines.
This is one that would appeal equally to players and collectors alike.
