We just cant get enough of these rattle canned tweeds! 1959 Fender Tweed Harvard “rattle canned” black. If you’ve ever gotten a chance to play one of these 50’s Fender amps you known they live up to their legendary status. The Harvard was launched in 1955 as a 10 watt single 10″ combo amp. Its simple straight forward design lets the guitar and circuitry really shine. Why would some one spray paint a vintage amp? It was done back in the day! When Fender released its new black tolex amps many people wanted the new look, so they just busted out the spray can! It’s a fun part of guitar history that we just love.

Overall in good condition. The original tweed has been spray painted black. It has a reissue speaker (Jensen P10R) but does include its original (needs to be reconed). The power cable has been upgraded. Non-original tubes. New leather handle but comes with its original. Puts out 10 watts all tube. Single 5Y3 rectifier, Two 6V6 power tubes, 12AX7 phase inverter tube. Just two knobs Volume and Tone.

You know what they say “keep it simple!” These amps just really let the player shine. Full harmonic depth, turn it up and get that overdrive people are always trying to hunt for. The old wood cab just sings. We’ve been lucky enough to get a handful of these tweed amps through recently and this one definitely stands out.
