Offered for sale;

Used c1996 Fender ‘60’s Stratocaster Made in Japan serial number U014022.

This guitar is in very good condition, neck and frets are fine. Cosmetically showing playing time with several “nicks and marks” primarily around the edges.
The pickups have been upgraded. We're not sure exactly to what but the neck and middle have Fender Custom Shop stickers on them. The bridge pickup looks the same but without the sticker. They read 6..08k ohms, 6.38k ohms and 7.16k ohms.

In the early ‘80s, after the CBS era, Fender offered the maple neck ‘57 Reissue and rosewood neck ‘62 Reissue.

With the success of those models, by the early 1990s, Fender began to produce the same models in Japan. To distinguish from the American made models these high-quality imports were called ‘50’s Stratocaster and ‘60’s Stratocaster.

Much information is available regarding the Fender MIJ, (made in Japan) and the Fender CIJ, (crafted in Japan) instruments. Let us just state that the instruments are of a very high quality, some feel that the MIJ instruments are equal to and or superior to the American made ones.

In our humble opinion we have experienced exceptional and lesser so instruments from Fender regardless of the country of origin. We tend to approach each instrument on a case by case basis. We have noted that the MIJ guitars are usually quite fine instruments.

This is a nice playing and sweet-sounding Strat at a good price point!

Hard-shell case included.

“We carefully inspect every instrument when we buy it and bring it up to our standards before we offer it for sale. We also do a full set up before we ship. If you decide to purchase this guitar, please let us know what gauge strings you prefer.”

*Please note: we do our best giving descriptions of used pieces. We have found it impossible to describe every
mark on an instrument or amp that is not in the "mint" category. Also, what's important to you may not be important to someone else. For example, you may say, "I don't care what it looks like as long as it plays or sounds well." Another person may say, "Body cosmetics are very important to me so tell me about every scratch, nick and blemish." So, please ask the questions that are most important to you. If you ask they will be answered. They are free and there's no limit. Additional photos can also be made available.

This is a specific item that is also being offered for sale in our brick & mortar location. It is possible that it has just been sold. Please ask if it is still available before purchasing.

*It is our policy to require a signature on delivery of all musical instruments. Please let us know if you prefer no signature required when ordering or we will automatically require a signature.

If you prefer your item to be sent without a required signature Imperial Guitar and the selected carrier can no longer be responsible for the security of the package once it has been delivered.
