What majestic pick ups! For your consideration a 2018 Fender ’72 Telecaster Thinline Reissue in Sunburst! The thinline Telecaster was designed by German luthier Roger Rossmeisl in 1968. Known for his work with Rickenbacker, it comes as no surprise that his biggest alteration was to give the Telecaster a Semi-Hollow body. Initially brought to market in ’69, it received a big overhaul in ’72 when the pick ups were replaced with Seth Lovers new Wide Range humbuckers, a 3 bolt neck plate and a bullet truss rod. This particular ’72 RI has a set of Lollar Regal wide range humbuckers, probably the best wide range humbucker on the market.

Specs! The pick ups and wiring have been upgraded in this thinline, other than that it is all original and in excellent condition. Reissue F stamp tuners. Corian nut with a width of 1-5/8″. One piece maple neck with a depth of .85″ at the first fret and .89″ at the twelfth fret. Maple fingerboard with a 7.25″ radius. It has a 25.5″ scale length. The original 21 small frets are in very good condition. Semi Hollow ash body with a 3 tone sunburst finish. The pick ups have been upgraded to Lollar Regal! The pots have been upgraded to CTS pots. Original reissue Fender hard tail piece. Comes with a gig bag. Weighs 6 pounds and 4 ounces.

Grand! Imposing! Superb! Splendid! The Lollar Regals defiantly fit these adjectives! Of course Wide Range is a great way to describe these as well. Beautiful round/tight low end, vocal like mid rang and sparkly crisp treble! Designed to be exactly like the original 70s pick ups but with a better volume and tone balance. The Telecaster Thinline is an awesome way to get that classic Fender body shape but with a different vibe! It being a semi-hollow gives you a little more volume off the body, which is nice for practicing at lower volumes. It also helps with the weight of the guitar. Fantastic playing guitar, fast up and down the neck. Killer guitar with just the right amount of modifications!
