Pair of 2009 Fender '59 Strat Reissues #17 of 59!

Here is an interesting pair of Limited Edition '59 Strat 50th Anniversary guitars. This was from a Factory Special Run of 59 guitars. So how do these 2 guitars have the same serial number in the same run of guitars? The first #17 of 59 guitar (3-tone sunburst) was shipped out to the customer with the wrong shade of burst. Fender asked to recall it to get the color corrected. The owner had already received it and loved it so much that they asked to keep it and buy the correct Chocolate Burst one too!

After the original owner kept these guitars together this whole time, we've decided to offer them as a pair but they could be available individually at $2750 each. Both guitars are very clean overall with just the slightest traces of use. The Chocolate Burst has a small and nearly invisible touchup near the neck joint. Both are near mint with the paperwork as shown. These come with the original hardshell cases.

The 1959 Fender® Stratocaster® is among the most coveted vintage guitars for serious collectors. The '59 Strat® differed from earlier incarnations with its slab rosewood fretboard, 3-ply mint pickguard, and unique dye in the sunburst finish that caused the red to fade, leaving a unique chocolate burst that resembles earlier 2-color bursts. Fender® and Guitar Center are offering a limited run of only 59 limited edition reissues.
