Summary: The Jazz Bass has been a favorite among bass players since the 60s for its’ articulate high end presence and mid-range growl. This Fender was hand crafted in USA with 1960’s specs and it really hits the mark. The neck has a nice full carve and it features incredible sounding single coil pickups that can go from low thumping soul grooves to Geddy Lee and of course Jaco. It is in immaculate condition and ships in a Custom Shop G&G hard shell case with COA, Fender care literature, pickup and bridge covers.
Body: Alder body with 3 tone sunburst and a 4-ply tortoise guard.
Neck: The maple neck has a ‘60s C shape, bone nut, 34” scale length and 1 1/2” nut width. Rosewood fretboard with a 9 ½” radius, clay dots and strap button on the back of the headstock.
Pickups/Hardware: It has 2 American vintage ’64 Jazz Bass pickups, 2 volumes, 1 tone, thumb rest on treble side, vintage style reverse gear tuners, 60s style bridge and saddles and it even comes with bridge and pickup covers which are included in the case, the body was not drilled out for them so you have the option of having it look clean without them. But if you do want them it requires some installation holes drilled.
Cosmetics: This bass is in like-new condition, there are some light scratches and a few scuffs around the body from the minimal use this bass has seen but overall it looks impeccable.
Playability: Our in house luthier has just inspected and set up this bass with low action and a straight neck. The neck feels very comfortable and it is playing wonderfully up and down the fretboard. The frets are in great shape with no grooves or divots.
