Near-mint with original case and papers, still has the plastic on the pickguard. 1994 was the 40th anniversary of Fender's introduction of the iconic and influential Stratocaster guitar (notwithstanding the curious fact that it almost got axed in the late '60s until Jimi Hendrix cemented its place in the lineup indefinitely) and Fender celebrated four decades of Strat production with some anniversary models, including this classic rosewood-board three-tone sunburst American Standard variation. "40th Anniversary" badge on headstock, "1994 STRATOCASTER 40 Years...and still rockin'" neck plate distinguish it from '93 and '95 models, otherwise standard features, plays and sounds great, nice weight at 8 pounds. 1993 serial number but neck and body match and date to March of 1994, discrepancies like that were common in the period. Made in California, USA.
