This American Vintage '52 Telecaster was one of the first authentic reissues to emerge from Fender USA in 1982. This one was produced in the Fullerton factory, before the transition to Corona, CA. This guitar remains as one of the finest examples reminiscent of the original blackguard 1952 Telecaster and comes with some interesting case candy that includes a tour itinerary from 1985.
This guitar shows quite a bit of cosmetic wear from over the years. The finish is checking all throughout the body, down the back of the neck, and headstock. There's also various surface scratches, small chips, and scuffs throughout as well. Among the scuffs on the back of the body, there's also some bright red/orange splotches. The fretboard shows significant aging from over time and the hardware is also tarnished. The headstock shows quite a bit of wear, with some cracks in the "Fender Telecaster" logo. The frets show normal play wear and the electronics work as they should.
The bridge pickup cover is missing, otherwise this guitar appears to be original.
Includes the pictured OHSC and case candy.
This was previously owned and toured by Vern Pilder who played for John Anderson. We are of course selling the guitar, not the story, but very cool providence here, and the included tour itinerary gives a nice look into some of the guitars history.
