Description

Summary: The Reissue '52 Telecaster is one of Fender's longest running reissue models. This Tele replicates the features of the Telecaster from 1952 including an Ash body and Butterscotch Blonde finish. This particular guitar is from 1987 and comes with a tweed hard shell case, ashtray pickup cover, an extra pickup selector switch, an extra 6 saddle bridge replacement piece, and an original booklet.

Body: Single cutaway light ash body based on the 1952 Telecaster.

Neck: 21-fret maple neck with black dot inlays. These earlier '52 resissue necks have a slim modern C shape rather than the chunky necks found on more recent '52 reissues. The frets are in great shape and have plenty of life left in them.

Electronics/Hardware: 2 single coil pickups, vintage 3 brass saddle style Telecaster bridge

Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape with a few nicks and dings on the body. There is a small dent that goes through to the wood directly below the 21st fret at the edge of the neck pocket. There is some noticeable buckle rash on the back and some wear around the top edge of the instrument – all consistent with a guitar that has been played and loved since 1987. Playability: This tele plays great & is currently set up with the traditional 1950’s wiring setup that features the 3-way selector switch with a tone roll-off at the top position.

Weight: 8 lbs, 4 oz.

Case: Tweed hard shell case with lots of wear but fully functioning.
