Description

Always hard to find and nearly impossible to find with original transformers (they were undersized and prone to self destruction), this 59 Bandmaster is a bit of a holy grail for tweed aficionados. The more readily available tweed 5F6-A Bassman is a great amp but at 45 watts, it's more than most of us need these days, so the lower power alternative is the 5E7 Bandmaster. It comes in at 26 watts and with its fairly early breakup, is right in the sweet spot for any but the largest venues. This one is pretty close to 100%. All trannies are original, the tweed is original and in good shape, the speakers and, I believe, the cones are original. Six caps have been replaced. Four of the six tubes appear to be original as well although it's impossible to know for sure. The handle is a reproduction but the original is intact and usable and is included. No mods ever. There is no better amp for a hum bucker equipped Gibson. These are tone monsters and will make you a better player simply because you won't want to stop playing. I have four of these in various levels of originality and at various price points, so if you want a player grade one for a lot less money, just ask.
