HOLDI'm an idiot if I sell this amp. This is the cleanest tweed narrow panel Bandmaster I've ever seen (and I've seen more than most-I currently own 6 of them). Nothing has been changed. Not a cap, not a speaker and probably not a tube although it's really impossible to know that. The tweed is close to perfect. Retweed? Not a chance-no glue lines, no extra staple holes around the grills, all cuts are exactly right and the forensics tell me it's original. Here's what I look for: Panel is perfect, so it was never left in the basement for years on end, each speaker has no marks on the unused holes which means it hasn't been used in multiple amps, original cones so it wasn't likely gigged. The new tweed that's available has a coating that the old tweed didn't have. You can do a perfect re-tweed but unless you do it with NOS tweed, which is impossible to get now, you can tell. Bandmasters are, IMO, the best of the big tweeds. I love the Bassman but 45 watts is too much amp for my needs. The 26 watt Bandmaster hits the sweet spot. OK, it's going to be really expensive. I paid through the nose, so you will too. But mint or near mint big tweeds rarely come up because they were gigging amps most of the time so they got the crap kicked out them over nearly 60 years. This one somehow escaped. This amp never left the house. I know that for a fact for at least the last 25 years and to look at it, the 34 years before that saw little action either. Has its original Victoria cover too.
