Description

Well, you don't see too many of these. This is a "center volume" brown face 5G7 Bandmaster from 1960. They only made brown Bandmasters for a year and but only made the center volume version for a few months. They are one of the rarest Fender amps. This one is serial number 180 from February of 1960. Surprisingly similar to a tweed Bandmaster with more headroom. That might be because it has similar speakers (P10Q) and the same transformers. This is a killer amp (and I'm a tweed guy). All original except for the 3 prong AC, the handle and a few capacitors. Speakers have been re-coned. Not cheap but have you priced an original tweed Bandmaster lately? If you have a collection of Fender amps and you don't have one of these, it's time to buy one. They almost never come up for sale and when they do, the output tranny is usually replaced or re-wound. Not this one.
