1957 Fender® Bassman® Tweed, Very Good, $4,200.00

Player grade 57 dual rectifier 2 hole 5E6 Bassman. I think these sound better than the vaunted 5F6-A Bassman and I really don't need four inputs and these don't require a mortgage. The iron is all original but the amp has been recapped and the speakers aren't original. They are, however, period correct Jensen P10R's but they are silver backs not the correct teal blues. They sound the same. The panel is very clean with all the numbers and letters intact and nice chrome with just a little surface rust and pitting (and dirt). It was very professionally re-tweeded 25 years ago. This is a killer players amp. I wouldn't be afraid to take this one out and gig with it. Find a boutique amp that sounds like an old Bassman. Ya can't beat it for the price. Find another with original trannies and vintage Jensens at this price.
