1982 Fender Bullet Bass Deluxe, B-34 Torino Red
Some guys like the full groan of a V-8 while others like the torque of a V-6. This B-34 Bullet Bass is the V-6 of the bass world. It has a full-scale 34" leftover Telecaster bass neck (from the factory) and the Mustang Bass-style pickups will surprise the heck out of you with their full-throated punchiness. Talk about a sleeper!
It doesn't get any more basic than this: one volume knob and one tone knob- that's all you need to be instantly in the low-end business and my bass rig did not offer one complaint when I plugged this beauty in. You're getting P-Bass tone in an 8 lbs, 2 oz package that's exceptionally easy on the shoulders. The Torino red color is bright and striking and if you're looking to get noticed, forget the crazy hat- just strap this bad boy on and get busy.
This Bullet is clean and very nice, but there are a metric ton of pickk swirls on the front of the bass and on the pickguard. There's no doubt that the prior owner did not play with his fingers! There are also some dings on the back, but these are not very noticeable unless you turn the bass into the reflection of an overhead light. The original case is pretty hammered, but it still properly protects the bass and it even has a Pantera sticker on it. Yes- that's another plus in our book.
