Description

1964 Fender Champ Amp in excellent condition. A transitional amplifier; in 1964 the narrow panel tweed version of the Champ was dressed in a black Tolex style just a few months before the Blackface Champ. This was the final amplifier to finally make the jump from narrow panel tweed. This one sounds great, when turned about halfway and above this produces an overdriven tone that rivals larger amplifiers. Virtually the same circuitry as the tweed amplifier, but dressed in tolex. This one has the original speaker, which dates to 1963. Original power and output transformers both date to 1964. Tube chart is stamped with NE; May 1964. Amplifier is recapped, and works perfectly. No tears and in cosmetically great shape.
