Summary: The Classic Player Jazzmaster Special takes everything that made the Jazzmaster such a revolutionary instrument in the 1960s and adds some modern player-requested touches. The alder body is loaded with new pickups that provide fatter tone and a hotter output. Another interesting enhanced feature is that the neck pocket is cut differently for better pitch. The trem plate has also been moved to increase the break angle and improve sustain. The Classic Player Jazzmaster Special merges the best of the past and the present. This particular guitar has a replacement gold plastic pickguard & a mastery bridge to replace the original.

Body: Offset solid body electric guitar with a beautiful black finish & a replacement gold anodized pickguard (plastic).

Neck: Maple C-shaped neck with 9.5" radius (polyurethane finish), Pau ferro fingerboard, 1.650” nut width, 25.5” scale length, 22 medium jumbo frets,

Pickups/Hardware: 2 Special Design Hot Jazzmaster single-coil pickups (neck and bridge), Classic Jazzmaster “lead”/“rhythm” dual-circuit design with volume and tone control for each, 3 way switch, one volume knob, one tone knob, replacement “Mastery” bridge, replacement gold anodized pickguard (plastic)

Cosmetics: This instrument has been played and it does show signs of wear such as pick scratching & a few dings on the body. The back of the guitar has lots of scratches and it looks like someone tried to clean it off with steel wool & that made things worse……

Playability: We set this Jazzmaster up with a new set of 10’s and it plays and sounds fantastic. The action is low & the mastery bridge helps the instrument stay in tune & intonate well.

Modifications: Replacement plastic gold anodized pickguard, and Mastery Bridge.
