Up for sale, a 1969 Fender Contempo combo organ in excellent condition and in perfect working order. This particularly rare and versatile combo organ strikes a perfect balance between the more bubbly and round tonalities of a Farfisa, and the richer, more reedy textures most commonly associated with a Vox Continental. With its formidable range of tone switches, dedicated bass register, and both Tremolo and Vibrato (volume and pitch modulation) on board, the Contempo is one of the most roadworthy and feature rich combo organs ever produced. The faceplate is very player friendly, with a series of tone switches that are clearly organized into footage tabs and subsequent boosts for each individual frequency range (timbre tabs are white, boosts are black).

This Contempo has been freshly serviced and completely gone through to ensure that all keys respond evenly and reliably. The main power supply has been recapped, and the noise to signal ratio is excellent and perfect for studio work. All notes play in tune, and both the Vibrato and Tremolo effects work as they should. The multi-pin volume pedal jack has been bypassed, and now the organ works with two 1/4" jacks, one for the entire range of the piano, and one dedicated to the bass register.

Cosmetically, this vintage Fender combo organ is in fine shape, with the original smooth black tolex and molded red top intact. The raised "Fender Contempo" badge is present on the top of the organ, and all of the original hardware is intact, including the handles, corners, and latches, all of which show some surface patina but still work as they should. The inner red lining on the lid has been redone with a piece of felt that closely matches the color and texture of the original material, and a small piece of tolex has been added to one corner where the vinyl had previously worn through.

Don't miss out on this rare and thoroughly serviced vintage Fender Contempo organ!
