2002 Fender Custom '59 Esquire (1959 reissue) 2 Tone Sunburst

Summary: This Custom Shop Esquire has been fitted with a Fender Custom Shop “Nocaster” neck pickup but comes with the original pickguard that is not routed for a neck pickup. It is in excellent used condition with a very subtle relic and beautiful 2 tone 50s style sunburst over ash body. Our in-house guitar tech has just setup and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10s and it plays beautifully with low action, vintage feel and real Tele tone. Ships in its original tweed hard-shell case with COA.

Body: Ash bodied Esquire with 2 tone sunburst nitrocellulose lacquer finish, subtle relic and one ply white pickguard.

Neck: Maple neck with 7.25” radius rosewood fingerboard, clay dots, vintage size frets, 25.5” scale length and 1 5/8” nut width.

Pickups/Hardware: Flat pole Esquire pickup in the bridge, Nocaster pickup in the neck, nickel hardware, volume, tone, 3 way toggle, brass saddles and strap lock style buttons.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in great used condition with a few chips and dings from factory relicing and some various light scratches and scuffs.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has just inspected, setup and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functioning and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fingerboard with no dead spots or choking out.

Modifications: Added neck pickup, the bodies on Esquires are pre-routed for a neck pickup if one is desired. The original pickguard with no neck pickup rout is in the case. The treble bleed circuit was removed.

Case: This Fender comes with the COA, bridge cover “ashtray” and the original tweed hard-shell case. We will ship it professionally packed and fully insured!
