2014 Custom Shop ’59 Telecaster Journeyman Relic
This is a "1959 Telercaster Journeyman Relic" model finished in an aged white blonde that reproduces a slightly scorched texture, and features a beautiful wood grain AA grade flame maple neck.
The original one-piece maple neck of the Telecaster was discontinued in 1959 and the fingerboard was replaced with slab laminated rosewood.
This model has a 1-ply pickguard with 8 points, which is a unique specification for the transitional period.
The fine weather checks and dents on the entire body are reproduced by Journeyman Relic, giving it the look of a vintage guitar that has been used moderately.
It is very lightweight at 3.07kg, has a thin 59 Esquire Style C shape neck grip, 9.5R fingerboard with 6105 type frets, and equipped with Handwound 1958 Tele Pickups with modern wiring.
The frets have more than 80% remaining. The neck is very slightly wavy, but there is no problem in the current playability and there is no problem in the operation of the truss rod.
