This is a vintage 1961 Fender Esquire with a rosewood fretboard and a great looking Vintage White finish. The body has gone through a refinishing job, with new paint being applied to the body only â€“ the neck remains original finish-wise. At one point the body was a light blue color, and the electronics were left in when that refinish happened, so there is some overspray of blue on the electronics and some evidence of the blue finish remains in the cavities. The neck has been refretted and the fretboard planed â€“ the work was well done and usually necessary for an instrument of its age that is still being played and not just displayed. The switch tip on the guitar is a replacement.
The guitar is a true player and sounds fantastic. The body has some marks around it with finish checking throughout, no major gashes or areas with major finish removal. The board has a rich brown color to the rosewood. Overall a classic guitar with all original electronics, ready to be played for years to come. Includes the original hardshell case and bridge cover.
