Description

Offered is this 2015 Fender Custom Shop "Time Machine" series '63 Stratocaster Relic, a factory-aged, early 60's style Stratocaster with the modern specs that most players want these days.

This guitar has a light weight, two piece Alder body with an aged Olympic White nitrocellulose lacquer finish. It has a total weight of just 7.6 pounds. The quartersawn, 25.5" scale length Maple neck has a 60's C-shape with depth measurements of .82" at the 1st fret and .94" at the 12th. The fretboard has a particularly dark Indian Rosewood fretboard with a 9.5"radius, 6105 fret wire and a 1.650" nut. The pickups consist of three hand wound Custom Shop 60's single coils with the middle pickup reverse wound/reverse polarity. The controls include a master volume, two tone controls and a five-way pickup selector.

This Strat has the perfect combination of modern specs (flatter fretboard radius and bigger frets) and vintage style (moderately aged finish). The tone and playability are superb and it is light and extremely comfortable to play, even for long periods. This is an instrument that most players will be immediately comfortable with. Please check out the brief sound sample provided. This guitar has the tone you are looking for!

This guitar is sold in lightly-played condition. It was aged nicely at the Fender factory, but has seen little play since then. The frets show no observable wear. It comes in it's mint G&G case with the certificate of authenticity and most of the original accessories. New examples sell for approximately $3,500; this near new 2015 guitar can be had for $1K less.

If you are looking for a lightly-played, no-nonsense, Fender Custom Shop Relic Strat at a decent price, here you go!
