2018 Fender Custom Shop '64 Journeyman Olympic White

Summary: The Fender Custom Shop has painstakingly crafted this ’64 Journeyman relic to embody the true 1964 Stratocaster. The attention to detail shows in how genuine the neck feels, how authentic the patina on the finish and hardware looks, and how the pickups sparkle and sustain with their vintage voice. This Strat has just been setup and restrung with a new set of 10s and it ships in its original Custom Shop hard-shell case with bridge cover, COA, spec sheet, picks and whammy bar.

Body: It has a 2-piece select alder body with aged Olympic White Journeyman Relic lacquer finish and 3-ply parchment pickguard.

Neck: The tinted C-profile quarter-sawn maple neck has a slab rosewood fingerboard updated with a 9.5" radius to suit contemporary playing styles, bone nut, 25.5” scale length and 1 5/8” nut width.

Pickups/Hardware: The 64’ Strat features three hand-wound '64 Strat pickups and modern wiring, 1 volume, 2 tones, 5 way switch, vintage style bridge, bent steel saddles and vintage style tuning keys.

Cosmetics: This Strat has all the meticulous Custom Shop relicing and it looks really great. Lots of checking all over the finish and the back of the neck is nice and worn down for a natural smooth feel. All wear consistent with factory done distressing.

Playability: Our in house luthier has just inspected, set up and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10s and it is playing beautifully with low action and a straight neck. The frets are in great shape with no grooves or divots.
