Take a classic Fender Stratocaster, deck it out with customized player-centric features, the finest hand-selected figured woods and custom hand-wound pickups, and you have the Custom Shop Fender American Custom Stratocaster. This Fender Strat features a Crimson Transparent color with a parchment pickguard, chrome hardware and special Sperzel die-cast tuning machines with white pearloid buttons.
The two-piece select ash solidbody features deep contours, a contoured neck heel and an NOS nitrocellulose lacquer finish. The one-piece AAA birdseye maple neck is as stunning as ever, with a 1960 oval C-profile and a bi-flex truss rod with headstock adjust, topped by an American Standard string tree and a compound radius rosewood fingerboard with abalone face dots and twenty-two medium jumbo frets.
The hand-wound Dual-Mag pickups feature alnico V magnets on the bass side and beveled alnico II magnets on the treble side, creating tonal balance and consistency and improving string-to-string clarity. All control and pickup routes are shielded and grounded for reduced electromagnetic interference, including the vintage modified #2 wiring with tone-saver treble bleed.
