Description

I've always been a sucker for a double-bound sunburst Tele, so I was thrilled to take this guitar in on trade. Offered is this as new, 2015 Fender Custom Shop American Custom Telecaster.

This guitar has a two-piece, double-bound, Ash body finished in 3-Tone Chocolate Sunburst nitrocellulose lacquer with a total guitar weight of 7.6 pounds. The neck is made of "AAA" grade Birdseye Maple with a large 60's C-shape with depth measurements of .900" at the 1st fret increasing to .980" at the 12th fret. The fretboard has a 9.5"-12" compound radius, with 6105 frets and a 1.6875" bone nut. The tuners are Sperzels with Pearloid buttons. For electronics, it has a hand-wound Texas Special in the neck position, a hand-wound Nocaster single coil in the bridge position, master-volume, master-tone, and a four-way switch.

This guitar plays as good as it looks. The chunky neck feels great and it plays like "butta." The tone is classic Tele with the four-way switch giving you some added variety. This guitar may have some contemporary features which make it superbly playable, but the tone is vintage Tele twang.

This guitar is in virtually unplayed condition and the frets show zero wear. It is indistinguishable from new. It comes in it's original G&G case with the certificate of authenticity and all the accessories. This model had a new street price of approximately $3,400 but this mint, pre-owned 2015 example can be yours for more than $1K less.

This guitar has everything that this Tele lover could ask for. Make it yours - you will be very glad you did!
