Description

As "modern day" (less than 50 years old) Stratocasters go, they don't get much better than this guitar. Offered is this 'Fat 50's Stratocaster Relic' with solid Brazilian Rosewood neck and fingerboard, hand built by Fender Master builder Dennis Galuszka in 2019.

This guitar has it all. A very light weight Alder body finished in Ice Blue Metallic nitro lacquer with light to medium aging. The guitar has a total weight of just 7.4 pounds (7 pounds, 6 ounces) and is perfectly balanced. The incredible Brazilian Rosewood neck has a medium sized (very) soft V shape with depth measurements of .850" at the first fret increasing to .990" at the twelfth fret. The Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard has a compound radius of .725" - .950" making it comfortable for chording near the nut as well as for deep string bends higher up the neck. The fret wire is Jescar 47095 which is a nice compromise between vintage and medium wire. The electronics consist of three 'Fat 50's' single coils with Fender's Postmodern tone saving circuit which maintains the highs when you change the volume.

Despite the Brazilian neck, Dennis managed to get the balance perfect, so this guitar feels great strapped-on. The body and hardware have been expertly aged (the neck and fingerboard much less so) giving this instrument a fantastic vintage vibe and a very familiar feel of your favorite slip-ons. The tone is decidedly vintage to my ear (which I consider a very good thing). Please check out the brief sound sample provided. Dennis kept the output of these pickups true to the originals that they emulate - clean. clear and quacky!

Built in 2019 and purchased in 2020 this magnificent Strat has seen little to no play. The frets remain in near perfect condition and the guitar sports no wear beyond the superior aging. It comes in it's similarly mint lacquerd tweed G&G case along with the COA and accessories.

I'm not sure you could commission another guitar like this even if you wanted one, but if you could I expect it would cost you at least $10K with a wait of many, many months. Get this magnificent instrument today for 25% less. Wonderful and one of a kind....
