Offered here is a Fender Custom Shop Strat of the highest order, a '59 Relic by Masterbuilder Jason Smith. Built in 2014, this fabulous guitar has: a light Alder body with a nicely aged Sea Foam Green nitrocellulose lacquer finish and a total weight of just 7.25 pounds (7 pounds, 4 ounces); a relatively large C-shaped Maple neck with depth measurements of .875" at the 1st fret increasing to .950" at the 12th and with much of the finish removed for a smooth, non-tacky feel; a lovely dark Indian Rosewood fretboard with 9.5" radius, 6105 fret wire and a 1.650" bone nut; and for electronics, three hand-wound 50's style single coils with VTT and five-way switching.
This guitar is just amazing. It's light weight, big C-shaped neck and the marvelously aged Sea Foam Green finish make this a particularly desirable guitar. Even my Fender Customer Service rep was lusting over this one! As you would expect from a Masterbuilt instrument, this thing plays amazingly well with it's superb setup. The tone is just what you would hope for; vintage Strat quack, snap and clarity.
This one owner collector piece has seen little to no play and the factory aging aside, shows little to no wear, frets included. It comes in it's original brown G&G case along with the certificate of authenticity, build sheet and all the original accessories.

Shipping to Continental US addresses is via FedEx Ground, with flat rate shipping of $60 to Eastern time zones, $70 Central and $80 Mountain/Pacific. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is $100. Refunds of the original purchase price less shipping and a 10% restocking fee may be requested within 48 hours of delivery. Exchanges within one (1) week of the original date of purchase may be made for an item of equal or greater value at the discretion of Capital Guitars. Where permitted herein, items must be promptly returned at the buyer's expense, in the same condition as received with all accessories and paperwork included. Sale items, purchases that are made via layaway, those involving trades and/or international shipping are considered final except upon an error by and at the discretion of Capital Guitars.
