Early Fender Custom Shop Jazz Bass!

The Custom Shop has spared no expense in the construction of this bass, and the quality is one rank above the rest.
The dream workshop that continues to meet the needs of many musicians and fascinate even now, more than 35 years after its first work as a Custom Shop, has produced many masterpieces with its high-quality wood, thin lacquer coating, and time- and cost-efficient construction.

This model was made in 1992, in the early days of the Custom Shop.
On the back of the head, there is an early logo, different from the current Custom Shop logo, and you can feel the history of this instrument.
The model name on the certificate only states "JAZZ BASS," but the stamp on the neck pocket, slab-applied rosewood fingerboard, and reverse-wound pegs suggest that this is basically a '62 specification.
However, the body of a '62 Sunburst model is usually made of alder, but this model is made of ash, so it does not seem to be completely '62-spec.
The weight of the body is 5.0 kg, and it feels heavy, but it has a low center of gravity that is a little lower than the Fender 60's sound that comes to mind. However, it does not have the donshari sound that typifies the 70's. It has a straight low and the stickiness of the middle due to the slab fretboard, which is a good combination!
This is a one-of-a-kind jazz bass that can be enjoyed only at the Custom Shop, with special specifications not found in the regular line of Fender USA basses.
