Original Fender design in concert with modern appointments and a custom Journeyman Relic finish make the Limited Edition model Fender '62/'63 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic a timeless one-of-a-kind tool for players, pros and collectors alike. Created in the Fender Custom Shop, this amazing road-worthy stage companion is decorated in an Aged Fiesta Red with a 3-ply Mint Green pickguard.
The two-piece alder solidbody wears a nitro lacquer Journeyman Relic finish, while the tinted rift-sawn maple neck sports a '63 C-profile, round-lam rosewood fingerboard, a vintage compound fingerboard radius and twenty-one medium vintage frets. The vintage synchronized tremolo and tuning machines, bone nut and wing string tree with metal spacer all add to the vintage ownership experience tenfold.
This Strat features a trio of Custom Shop hand-wound '60/'63 Strat pickups, which are wound to the exact specs from those formidable years that burned the Stratocaster into the history of music forever. Vintage modified #2 wiring with tone-saver treble bleed gives the player the ability to roll volume without losing delicate highs.
