In honor of George Harrison, the Fender Custom Shop has recreated the famous Rosewood Telecaster prototype seen in "Let It Be" with detailed precision.
The master builder Paul Waller closely examined Harrison’s unique original instrument to recreate this legendary guitar as accurately as possible, and also added the creation for higher playability.
The original spec has been precisely recreated as; it has four pieces of hand-selected rosewood sandwiching a thin maple veneer, just like the original, the sleek rosewood neck which two pieces of rosewood capped with a rosewood fingerboard, the early-'60s style "spaghetti" logo decal, wider string spacing and the nut which is 1/8" wider than most vintage Telecasters.
The hardware is also as accurate as possible; a vintage-style three-saddle bridge, 21 narrow jumbo frets, a Micarta nut and classic Fender "F"-stamped tuning machines are all featured.
It bears a light Closet Classic finish and equipped with hand-wound pickups by Abigail Ybarra.
This model's serial number starts from #50, and only 100 was made.
