2010 Fender Custom Shop Strat - 1955 Active Sunburst, Very Good, Original Hard

Summary: This unique Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster features a chunky but comfortable neck with a beautifully aged body and a classic sunburst finish. This Stratocaster combines the looks and feel of a 1950’s Strat with modern electronics utilizing the Eric Clapton electronic system giving you tons of boost in your second tone knob. This custom shop Fender is based on the 56’ Strat & then the original customer picked several options to make it into this wonderful & awesome instrument.

Body: Solid body Ash with wonderful wood grain that stands out in our shop on the wall of Strats.

Neck: Maple neck with a maple fingerboard, 21 frets, Med Jumbo frets, 1.650” nut width, 25.5” scale length. The frets are in great shape & they have a ton of life left in them. The neck shape is a 54 Soft V.

Pickups/Hardware: This Strat features the Clapton Electronics, NF (noise free) pickups with a 5 way switch. The original owner requested that the “Noiseless” imprint was to be left off the pickups so they simply have white pickup covers and don’t say anything. The hardware is “Closet Classic” featuring chrome vintage style tuning keys that were also free of any logos as per the original order sheet.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape – the only wear that we find was created at the Fender Custom Shop with a wonderful relic job that is listed in the spec sheet as “116 Galaxy of Strats”. This guitar will be shipped with the original Tweed hardshell case, a Certificate of Authenticity and the bridge cover for the tremolo system.

Playability: This Strat plays great – we set this baby up with 10’s and the action is low – the guitar plays with no buzzing or dead spots!
