Offered is this superb 2017 '63 Telecaster Custom built in the Fender Custom Shop. This guitar was custom-ordered with Fender's Journeyman aging treatment on the body, heavy relicing on the back of the neck and a Closet Classic treatment (very light aging) of the hardware. With it's classic black nitro finish with white binding and pickguard, this has what many call a "Tuxedo Tele" look.
The specs on this beautiful Tele include: a very light, two piece Alder body with a total guitar weight of just 6.6 pounds! The neck shape is called a "63 Strat C" with depths of .81" at the first fret and .97" at the twelfth fret by my measurements and most of the finish has been removed from the back of the neck for a smooth, dry playing feel. The AAA grade Indian Rosewood fretboard has a 9.5" radius, 6105 frets, a 1.650" bone nut and vintage style clay dot inlays. The pickups are Twisted Tele single coils with volume, tone, a three-way and modern wiring. This one weighs just 6 pounds, 10 ounces, incredibly light for a Tele Custom.
This is one fantastic Tele. It came to me in great condition and played great right out of the box. It is light and VERY resonant. The bridge position tone is classic Tele twang without being piercing and the neck and middle pickup positions are particularly rich sounding. Please check out the brief sound sample provided.
Except for the aging, this guitar is excellent + condition and the frets are in superb condition as well. It comes in it's original brown G&G case with the case candy shown, including the certificate of authenticity and build sheet.
This is a great playing and sounding Telecaster Custom in great condition. Don't pay $3,800 for a new example when this as new beauty can be yours for $1,100 less. A very nice Custom Shop Tele indeed!
