Description

These Dealer Select Wildwood 10's are very special instruments. As one of the largest US Fender dealers, Wildwood Guitars of Colorado is allocated some of the best guitars that the Custom Shop has to offer, this guitar included. These dealer-spec'd guitars are known as "10's" because of the flatter 10" radius fretboards that Wildwood orders for these limited models. This particular instrument is a '61 Strat with no factory aging. It's specs include: a lightweight alder body with a total guitar weight of just 7.4 pounds and a 3TSB nitro finish; a large '59 C-shape quarter sawn maple neck with depth measurements of .860" at the 1st fret and .980" at the 12th, a gorgeous dark rosewood fret board with a 10" radius, 6105 frets and a 1.650" bone nut; and for electronics, Wildwood Custom Shop single coils, VTT and five-way switching. This thing plays superbly and sounds great. To get a finer Fender Strat you have to buy a Master Built instrument. This 2015 guitar looks like it just left the factory. I can find no evidence of play and the frets are spotless. It still had some of the protective film on the pickguard when I received it! Included is the original and spotless limited edition G&G case, the certificate of authenticity, the Cruz tools and all the other accessories, even a Wildwood T-shirt! A new example of this instrument will cost you nearly $4K, but you can get this as new 2015 example for substantially less. A superb high-end Strat from the folks who started it all!
