Description

Fender Custom Shop "Wildwood 10's" are named for their flatter freboard radius necks and the popular Colorado-based Fender dealer these guitars are made exclusively for. Next to Master Built instruments, I've found WW 10's to be among the best Fender Custom Shop guitars currently being built.

The specs for the marvelous 2012 Wildwood Stratocaster offered here include: a moderately aged, light weight Alder body with a total guitar weight of just 7.2 pounds and Faded Sea Foam Green lacquer finish; a lovely quartersawn Maple neck with a Mid-60's C-shape and depth measurements of .810" at the 1st fret and .940" at the 12th (my measurements); a gorgeous dark Indian Rosewood fretboard with Wildwood's namesake 10" fretboard radius, Dunlop 6105 frets, clay dots and a 1.650" bone nut; and for electronics, John Cruz Limited single coils in the neck and middle positions, a Seymour Duncan SH4 Jeff Beck humbucker in the bridge position, along with VTT and five-way switching.

Click the video link below to see and hear the incredible Greg Koch playing this very guitar. The humbucker in the bridge makes a great Strat even better. The playability of this guitar is superb with a low, buzz-free setup.

We sold this instrument last year and just took it back in trade on one of our acoustics from one of my best customers. It has seen careful play over the past year and remains in excellent plus condition (albeit with factory aging) and the frets show little, if any, evidence of wear. It comes with it's original Limited Edition G&G case, the certificate of authenticity, the build sheet and assorted accessories.

New examples of this guitar sell for around $4.5K and clean used examples are available for around $3K and up. Make this lightly played example yours for less. One of the best Fender Strats money can buy!
