Description

Fender Custom Shop "Wildwood 10's" are named for their flatter freboard radius necks and the popular Colorado-based Fender dealer these guitars are made exclusively for. Next to Master Built instruments, I've found WW 10's to be among the best Fender Custom Shop guitars currently being made.

The specs for the marvelous 2015 Wildwood Stratocaster offered here include: a moderately aged, light weight Alder body with a total guitar weight of just 7.3 pounds (7 pounds, 4.3 ounces) and an Aged Olympic White lacquer finish; a lovely AA flame Maple neck with a 60's oval C-shape and depth measurements of .800" at the 1st fret and .940" at the 12th (my measurements); a gorgeous dark AAA grade Indian Rosewood fretboard with Wildwood's namesake 10" fretboard radius, 6105 frets, micarta dots and a 1.650" bone nut; and for electronics, hand-wound WW10 single coils along with VTT and five-way switching.

This is a great Strat. The aging is well done and quite realistic. Most of the finish on the back of the neck was removed as part of the aging process and it feels great in your hand. The guitar is light and nicely balanced sitting or standing, The pickups have a moderate output and a lovely vintage voice to my old ears, but you be the judge. Please check out the brief sound sample provided.

This guitar has seen only limited play and shows no flaws that can distinguished from the original factory aging. The frets are like new. It comes in it's original G&G case along with the certificate, build sheet and all the original accessories.

New examples of this guitar sell for $4,300. Get this lightly played 2015 example for a cool grand less. One of the best Fender Strats your money can buy!
