Description

Now available on consignment, a 1967 Fender Custom Telecaster in its 3-tone sunburst finish with cream binding and a rosewood fingerboard.

This particular example features all '66 specifications including a nitro finish, transition logo, and double line kluson deluxe tuners.

Work to the guitar includes:

  • The front of the body has been oversprayed long ago and buffed, there is a small crack at the neck pocket by the neck pickup.

  • The bridge pickup has been wax potted, and the neck pickup has been rewound at some point. There is an added ground wire over the pots, and the switch has been swapped (original included).

  • The bridge plate is period correct with replaced mounting screws, the saddles have been replaced.

Otherwise the guitar retains its original 3ply pickguard, and most of its original hardware minus the bridge saddles. The original stackpole pots date to the 42nd week of '66, and the original switch and capacitor remain.

A fantastic looking and sounding Fender Custom Telecaster! Includes its original Stamford import case and bridge cover.
