We’ve got one rare and cool guitar! For your consideration a 1969 Fender Customer Telecaster in Lake Placid Blue. It’s hard enough to come by a Custom Telecaster from this time let alone one in this fantastic custom color. The double bound body really makes the blue pop. We could spend all day talking about the looks of this guitar but they are really just a bonus feature of this incredible instrument. This guitar has over 50 years of playing on it, and for good reason! The neck is a dream to play. It’s the perfect weight for comfortable playing and great sustain. The neck pickup is warm and full-bodied while the bridge pick up has the classic bright articulation of a Telecaster.

Specs! A newer 3 way switch has been installed but the original is included. At one point someone installed a Les Paul style output jack-plate, leaving 2 drill holes. It has its original jack with a new cup. Neck stamp dates to January of 1969. The nut measures 1-5/8″. Amazing 1 piece maple neck that measures .84″ in depth at the 1st fret and .90″ at the twelfth fret. 25.5″ scale length. Maple fingerboard with a 7.25″ radius. Action measures 5/64″ on the bass side and 4/64″ on the treble side. Original 21 medium frets. Double bound alder body in Lake Placid Blue. 3-barrel bridge. Weighs 7 pounds and 3 ounces. Comes with its original case but will be shipped in a sturdy new roadrunner case.

Condition: This instrument is in good to very good condition. Plenty of play wear and finish checking. One spot of finish worn through on the horn.

Modifications: This guitar has a new three way switch (original three way in the case). At one point there was a Les Paul style output cover installed, leaving a 2 drill holes. Original jack with a new cup is currently installed.

Comments: Phenomenal beauty, construction and playability.
